| Bio: |  Welcome to my Sims 2 journal, home of my sim stories and other sims musings. I enjoy reading (and reading/viewing in the case of graphic novels and comics), writing, art, crafts, and playing with simulated people. Strangetown, Here We Come is my interpretation of the Maxis neighbourhood, Strangetown, and attempts to stay true to the characters as they are presented by the game, at least initially. It involves all of the characters in Strangetown in some capacity, and sometimes features cameo appearances from characters in other Maxis neighbourhoods too. You can find information on this, and my other sim stories, here: Directory of Sim Stories Disclaimer: The original concepts for the characters of Strangetown are the property of EA and Maxis, but you knew that already, didn't you? The interpretation of these characters as presented in my stories is the product of my own mind (though likely also influenced by the work of others). Downloads and Hacks - a list of my favourites Holy Simoly - This is Buck Grunt's favourite source for home design solutions, and it's mine too. My sims get to have furniture that I can only dream of. Maxis quality too. Lyran 2.0 - In addition to the defaults, this site has tonnes of other nice eyes and contacts. Some nice makeup and hair too. HystericalParoxysm - Some excellent hair, clothing, makeup, and wallpaper. Nouk - Some of her hair designs are must-haves for me. plasticbox - I'm a big fan of the Backdoor Lane series of houses - row housing, town houses, abandoned factories, and other urban dwellings. Replacement Multiple Pollination Technicians - Genetic variety for alien sims + pointy ears Jack's Alien Eyes - Pixel and Bean's pretty cartoon-style eyes for alien sims. Lyran Default Replacement eyes - Nice Maxis-style cartoon eyes, but with better definition. SameSex Marriage - I don't accept "joining" as any kind of substitute (to this I give an emphatic "fuck that!"), and neither do my sims. Marriage is for everyone. In fact, where I come from, marriage is legally defined as "the lawful union of two persons to the exclusion of all others," and that makes perfect sense to me. Foods - I have added various foods from MTS2. Vegetarian options aplenty! It brings a smile to Johnny Smith's face. Solo Romantic Photo Booth Pictures Enabled - This is too cute for words. Beautifully narcissistic. Custom Instruments Hack - Absolutely necessary if you don't want every sim guitarist to have the very same guitar. Unfortunately, these are not updated for the Free Time EP, so they don't build hobby interest. Some downloads used in Strangetown, here we come: Buildings: Johnny, Ripp, and Ophelia's apartment at La Fiesta Tech: #5 Modern Minilot Victorian by boingo82 at MTS2. (I made some structural adjustments, like moving a wall or two, and changing the second bathroom into Johnny's bedroom. I also redecorated it with uglier furniture to make it more student appropriate.) The apartment complex that Genesis Lam and Bella Goth live in: Backdoor Lane 38 - Four small row houses by plasticbox at MTS2. If you see a piece of custom content in one of my sims photos and want to know more about it (and it's not already mentioned above), just ask. I will probably know or be able to figure it out for you.
