And, if you know me at all, you know I'm very much a Maxis-match sort of simmer, so I've been exploring some options for replacing those same ol', same ol' paintings that we've been staring at since the basegame, but keeping them in a style that will match the game. Sims 3 brought us a whole new set of easel paintings, and also included some real gems that imitate famous works from art history, so I thought it'd be nice to make those available for use in Sims 2.
There were many options to choose from, and these were my picks. Do you approve of my curatorial decisions?
These replace, from top left to bottom right: lovelyelf, clownromance, sunset, house, llama, moon, sappyvalley, tiger, tulip, wannabepicasso, redwoods, and orange and apple. (Yeah, those are the names of the images in the game. Heheh... sappyvalley.)
This replacement set was made using sarahmkirk's templates as a base. Also, a big thank you to
Please remember, you can only use one default replacement set at a time.
For those who'd rather not replace, I've included some jpeg image files sized for the custom painting function included in the Pets EP and later, so you can create them that way. This feature will also allow you to choose the specific painting you want to use, and I've included all of the available Sims 3 images in that format (the medium size for the Sims 3 easel), so there are many more that aren't included in the default replacement set.
I hope ya like 'em! I've included one with "happy little trees" so you can pretend you're painting along with Bob Ross.
